Sweet and Salty and yet addicting

Another requested goodie that appeared on a table at a recent graduation party.  I made some insanely good treats for the teenagers that were attending.  Salted Crunchy Carmel Chocolate Chip Cookies.  I understand these were a hit and am now posting the delicious recipe.  This is NOT KETO friendly, nor is it Low Carb.

Carmel Pretzel cookie

So the recipe is:

3 cups flour all-purpose

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1tsp sea salt

1 cup unsalted butter (softened)

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cup chocolate chips

1 cup chopped pretzels

18-20 caramels cut in half

Pretzel Twist

Extra sea salt

Preheat oven 350 degrees.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Take the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a small bowl and mix.  Set aside

Cream the butter, sugars and then add the eggs and vanilla until combined. Add in the dry ingredients and then stir in the chocolate chips and chopped pretzels

Form the dough into balls equally about 2 TB each, place a caramel piece in the center of the dough ball (make sure the caramel is sunken in the dough, place a pretzel twist on the cookie and some sea salt.

Makes approximately 3 dozen cookies and cook time is 10-12 minutes.

I had a couple of cookies and they were so good, so very addicting.
